A Message from our Principal
On behalf of the faculty and staff of Cooley Springs-Fingerville Elementary School, I am excited about the opportunities that are in store for you this year! We are passionate about the students and families we serve. You will find that we are committed to providing a rigorous, innovative educational experience that prepares our students for reaching their full potential by planning relevant and engaging lessons where students have opportunities to think critically, engage in meaningful conversations, and solve real-world problems. We believe that through home and school partnering together, our students can achieve anything!
I am a graduate of Boiling Springs High School. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Education
from the University of South Carolina Upstate, where I became certified in both Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I went on to earn my Master’s Degree in Administration from the University of South Carolina. I am on track to complete my Doctorate Degree in Curriculum and Assessment from Southern Wesleyan University in the fall of 2024. I am passionate about learning because I know what education has done for me and can also do for our students! I am excited that my professional learning will support your children and your child’s teacher in providing the very best educational opportunities. I am very blessed to have a supportive family. My parents raised me to work hard, be kind to others, and always give 100%. My husband, Steven, is a CPA and enjoys his career in helping people with their finances! My daughter, Ansley, is in ninth grade and loves playing sports, specifically softball, basketball, and golf. My son, Graham, is in sixth grade and enjoys singing, performing, and being a leader in many capacities! He has a vivid imagination, is the BEST big brother, and always keeps us laughing! Cora is the baby of the family, but is now a CSF Cub herself! She loves to dance and play outside, and we have enjoyed watching her grow up! Our family loves to go on vacation whenever we have the opportunity. Our favorites include Disney World and cruising, but we look forward to traveling to all 50 states with our family of 5!
I like to think that I was born a teacher, but I have been serving in public schools as a certified educator since 2007. I started my career at Hendrix Elementary, where I taught 4K, 1st Grade, 3rd Grade, and served as a reading interventionist, IB Coordinator, and Assistant Principal. As I begin my seventh year as a Cooley Cub, my experiences have prepared me to effectively serve the teachers, parents, students, and families of CSF. I strive every day to focus on loving the students and teachers. I am invested in your child’s success and honored to serve as the Principal of Cooley Springs-Fingerville Elementary School.
My goal is to serve alongside our faculty and staff to meet the individual needs of each and every family and student.
